Leaf Peepers Festival Weekend Activities

The annual Leaf Peepers Festival will occur on September 22nd to 24th, 2017. When the leaves start to change into orange, red, and yellow fall colors, take in this unforgettable celebration of leaf foliage in the mountains and experience the West Virginian hospitality that will surely bring you back for next year!
Consisting of many events, there is something for everyone to try at the Leaf Peepers Festival. Take a horseback ride to experience the fall foliage while trotting down mountain trails with Mountain Trail Rides. or walk to scenic overlooks at Blackwater Falls State Park during a Nature Stroll.  Bird lovers will enjoy the Wild Bird Exhibit, where festival goers can learn about birds of prey and see wild birds like a bald eagle.

The kids will love the Inflatable Amusement Park where they can jump, slide, and bounce on the inflatables that will be available to them all weekend.  Other activities like a pumpkin toss is free for kids to enjoy and gives them the chance to win prizes.

Make sure to come out to the Fireman’s Parade, a crowd-pleasing event of floats, trucks, antique cars, and more! Then, raise awareness and funds for community projects and organizations during the Run For It 2k walk and 5k run. The event will take participants throughout the scenic town of Davis for an opportunity to view the beautiful mountain landscape.

Enjoy live music, attend Oktoberfest, and watch events such as the Duck Race, where 800 ducks are released into Beaver Creek. Other events that you should attend are silent and craft auctions, a car show, a golf tournament, and even a cake walk, where you might just win a baked good for a prize!
